Who doesn’t enjoy a pancake for breakfast (or lunch, or dinner) every now and then? Yes, that was a rhetorical question 🙂 However, who likes to stand baking a whole series of pancakes in a row? *Silence all over … So here’s a simple pancake recipe for when it’s just you craving one pancake.
Pancakes are probably the best discovery since sliced bread. I love the versatility of a pancake.
Not only are they cheap – I mean, what do flour, milk and an egg cost – but they are also a good base both for sweet and hearty dishes.
When you do feel like baking a whole pile, by all means do as part of a meal prepping plan!
Meal prepping saves you lots of time and it will also save you money since when you have something (almost) ready in the fridge, you can save yourself a call to have a pizza delivered 😉
But back to the ‘I want ONE pancake and I want it NOW’ craving.
There is a really easy recipe with just four ingredients that you will almost always have in stock.
Ready? Here you go:
Ingredients for one super delicious pancake (3, 2, 1, salt!)
- 3 leveled tablespoons of flour
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 1 egg
- a pinch of salt
Simply mix these four ingredients together in a bowl (or in a small blender, as I do) and you’re ready to bake.
Melt some butter or oil in a preheated skillet and bake your pancake on both sides until golden brown.
For toppings, go with what your body is craving for. I had a pancake with syrup and a sliced banana before hitting the gym this week (and broke a few personal records …).
Be creative and be sure to let me know what toppings you prefer on a pancake in the comments below!
